Increasing marijuana THC levels is having a stronger impact on the developing brain, something important for Colorado teens and those who care about them to be aware of as marijuana becomes increasingly commercialized in Colorado and currently there are no limits on THC.

The National Institutes of Drug Abuse, a part of the National Institute of Health, funds an annual survey “Monitoring the Future” which surveys behaviors, attitudes and values of 50,000 nationally representative 8th, 10th and 12 grade students. Conducted by the University of Michigan Survey Research Center, the study tracks, among other things, illicit drug use, including marijuana.
