“The public and our children have had no way of differentiating between a candy, soda and food that has marijuana in it, and one that does not,” said Diane Carlson, co-founder of Smart Colorado, in an interview with CBS Denver following a Marijuana Enforcement Division hearing on Aug. 11, 2015. “…We’ve left our kids to navigate an increasingly dangerous environment. We at least need to give them the tools to know when and if marijuana is in a food, candy or soda.”
